Ursuit undersuits
Ursuit undersuits are made of X-Tex Finnfill
The Finnfill insulation is the most distinctive property of X-Tex Heavy Finnfill underwear. Finnfill membrane was developed in conjunction with advanced research institutes and polymer manufacturers. The structure of Finnfill insulation is unique and is patented. Click for technical detail.
- Unlike many other fabrics, the material keeps its insulation capacity even after many times of washing.
- The Finnfill insulating material does not break up like most cotton-wool insulating materials, and therefore it does not either get lumpy or flattened during use or washing.
- The material also keeps the main part of its insulation capacity when completely wet.
The undresuit is made in two weights; Heavy (1.97 Clo) and Light (0.83 Clo).

What is Clo and what does it mean?
For a full explanation check this out – page 17 specifically: Rubicon Foundation.
The insulation of X-Tex Finnfill is measured in international Clo-units that show the real insulation property of the suit. Clo is an international measure of thermal comfort which can be consistently compared between completely different kinds of materials.
“Clo” is a measurement of the thermal comfort of a suit or device when it is in the water. The smaller the Clo number, the shorter the survival time in the water.
- One “Clo” represents the thermal comfort of an average person in business clothing in a room temperature indoor environment.
- Fractions of this thermal comfort are what are perceived when using a device in the water.
- By way of comparison, 1CLO = 1.59 tog
