Ursuit’s Finnfill undersuit has one major difference: Unlike thinsulate and other insulation fabrics, Finnfill does not lose its insulation capacity even after many times of washing.  Click here for full technical spec.

Finnfill also keeps most of its insulation capacity when completely wet. The insulation of X-Tex Finnfill is measured in Clo-units. “Clo” is a measurement of the thermal comfort of a suit when it is in the water. The larger the Clo number, the longer the survival time in the water.  By way of comparison, 200gsm thinsulate has a Clo value of 0.6, and 400gsm thinsulate has a Clo value of 1.3.
