Since 2001 Silent Planet have been importing and distributing watersports equipment in the UK and Ireland. The company was founded by Liisa Wallace who has been diving for some 25 years and is one of only a handful of female divers who have been certified “Cave 2” by GUE and passed the first ever GUE Fundamentals course held in the UK. David joined forces with Liisa some 5 years ago, he has been diving for 18 years is also GUE “Cave 2″ certified.

Over their diving careers they have both been fortunate to have received training from some of the most respected professional trainers in the industry and have achieved advanced diving qualifications from BSAC and PADI and technical qualifications from ANDI, TDI, IANTD and a commercial boat license as well as finding time to develop and run several successful dive related businesses.

We moved to our purpose built facility at the beginning of 2011. The new facility is at the Maritime Business Centre on Osprey Quay, Portland, where we have dedicated parking and 164 sq. m. of space as well as a 90 sq. m. mezzanine floor – five times as much as we had previously! This has meant we now have the facilities to do drysuit and immersion suit inspection and repairs. We are also authorised and qualified to repair all of the equipment we distribute.
